Here is a unique spin on the Best Ride and Best Room Contests for December… Both are combined into a unique contest where everyone who enters, wins! Since this month is Christmas Village, we’re looking for each of you to contribute a building to the Christmas Village Event by entering this contest. You will need to read this carefully and will need both the Best Room and the Best Ride Markers this month:

  • Create 2 Christmas-themed rooms that are connected together with a Portal:
    • Build (1) outdoor Christmas room with ride track leading into and away from the Portal to the indoor Christmas room. (see image below)
    • Build (1) indoor Christmas room with queue coming from the Portal, circling around the room and back into the Portal.  (see image below)
  • Here are some ideas that you can use for your ride+room theme: Christmas Candy Store, Sleigh Roundhouse, Reindeer Stables, Christmas Ornament Store, Hot Chocolate Shop… or come up with your own. Be creative!
  • Decorate these rooms up, giving them lots of eye appeal and things to look at. Make good use of the floor space, having the ride track and queue wind around your rooms. Don’t forget to add Room Information!
  • Purchase the Best Ride Contestant Marker from Outfitters and place it in your OUTSIDE ride room by December 22nd. This will let Staff know that your rooms are ready to be tested. Buy the Best Room Marker and place it in your INDOOR Christmas room by December 22nd.
  • All of the ride rooms will be connected together like The Great Road Trip Event and will be played at the Christmas Village Tour Event at the end of the month.

12_13ChristmasVillageContestStaff will choose 4 of the top indoor Christmas rooms and they will be entered in the Best Room Contest voting from December 26th-30th. The winners of each contest will receive the customary prizes: a 2013 Best Ride/Room Sign, a Best Ride/Room Award Pin, 1500 coins each, recognition in the Newsletter and on MyVirtualKingdom Facebook. Everyone who enters both a ride and a room will receive a Christmas Tree Hat!
